Rainy day photos
May. 11th, 2010 06:44 amIt rained quite a lot on Monday, leaving behind just the sort of legacy I have fun photographing. This is a bigger than usual update for me, with some behind a cut tag so as not to flood you all, but there are some things I want to call particular attention.
First of all, Mount Rainier put in an appearance, and it's uncommon enough to be worth remarking and photographing. There's a lot of distance between it and my neighborhood, and it takes good atmospheric conditions for this to work out:

Next, this subdued little bouquet. What I want to point out here is that I got this picture while sitting on the sidewalk, shooting up...and you know, it's been years since obesity and weakness let me do that without utter agony. I'm still pretty stiff and not good at clambering up and down, but at least I could do it:

Now some raindrops on leaves and flowers:

More of that, and a couple more "they make no mention of the beauty of decay" moments, below the cut tag. Oh, and what wasn't the biggest looming dog in the neighborhood.
